You are receiving this e-mail because you have contacted my office recently looking for information on the COVID-19 virus or the vaccine.

Today, Ontarians aged 75 and older can now book their COVID-19 vaccination appointments on-line at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Information line at 1-888-999-6488. Please only access the booking tools if you are eligible for an appointment.

Also as of today, many of Toronto’s pharmacies have doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine available for people aged 60 and older. Willowdalers have 20 pharmacies within 5 kms. Here is a list of pharmacies where you can book an appointment.

We are working around the clock to get needles into arms as quickly as possible. As of today, 91,000 people have been vaccinated through our pharmacies. Currently, there are 350 pharmacies in Ontario that are administering the vaccines and over the coming weeks, 700 pharmacies will receive doses of the vaccines.

Some things to keep in mind when you go for your vaccine appointment:

  • Please try to arrive just before your appointment. Many people are arriving an hour or two before their appointments, resulting in long delays;
  • Take your walker or a portable chair with you if you have trouble standing for a long time;
  • Try to limit the number of people helping you to one.

The virus and new variants of the virus remain a real threat, so please continue to follow all public health guidelines.

Stay safe, we are almost there!
