Today, Stan Cho, MPP for Willowdale, announced that the Ontario government has given Stage 1 Planning Approval to improve the Highway 401 and Yonge Street interchange and will fund up to 50 per cent of the cost for the City of Toronto to conduct an Environmental Assessment.
It’s easy to pass the buck in politics. If a problem is too hard or too costly to fix, sometimes the most politically expedient course of action is to blame another level of government. There’s a problem in my neighbourhood of Willowdale in North York that for more than a decade has been the perfect example of this all too common phenomenon.

The province has given the Toronto District School Board approval for an addition to the McKee Public School. The investment will provide a new, quality learning environment for students and help ease school overcrowding in Willowdale.
